OVERVIEW

Calda develops mobile and web products for startups and established businesses. I joined as a UX/UI designer, then expanded my work into brand identity, logo design, and Webflow websites. Working with developers made implementation constraints a practical part of my design process.

A digital adventurist identity

For Calda’s identity, we combined a clear logo and typography with a bright, playful visual system. The result aimed to feel curious and capable, reflecting the agency’s approach to building digital products.

The final C mark works as a modular, control-panel-like form and a swoosh in motion, suggesting progress and fast delivery. The palette pairs warm off-white and black with a bright orange accent, alongside Basement Grotesque.

Learning where to focus

The identity process included experiments that did not make the final system. Some ambitious 3D explorations took more effort than their likely impact justified. That experience sharpened how I evaluate scope, feasibility, and the return on creative effort.

Across Calda projects including Wasta, Subway, Mobiot, Cyclio, and The Dinner App, I enjoyed translating each interface and brand into a cohesive 3D presentation. The work called for visual harmony between UI, motion, and brand language.

Designing with development in mind

Working closely with developers gave me a stronger understanding of frontend and backend constraints. CSS and Webflow experience helped me design interfaces that could be built and maintained, while multiple projects taught me to communicate timelines and propose alternatives when a request exceeded the available scope.

The year broadened my practice across UX/UI, branding, 3D, and web design, and continues to shape how I move from concept to implementation.
